The movie: Day after tomorrow

5th grade watched a movie called "The day after tomrrow" on the 22nd of april and 23rd of april.

The movie starts when there is a meeting held in New Delhi. All the presidents of the world are assembled in a confrence room where the delhi's president has a meeting to make them aware about what will happen to the world in the future due to global warming. very soon unusual things starts happening like it starts snowing in New Delhi, Snow starts melting in antartica. The movie is mainly about a family which lives in the U.S. 'Sam' the son of the family is supposed to go to New York for a decathalon and he leaves on a nice warm morning. On the flight there was loads of turbulance. He even makes a freind on the flight who is a girl and is even in the decathalon. After the decathalon they rush to the New York library for some shelter as it was raining for many days and water was all the way upto the bumpers. Sam and his freinds passed through 2 cars but the girl didnt she got stuck but very soon got free and went through the other way where she stopped to help a policeman communicate to a french citizen. Sam noticed that the girl wasnt there and that a huge flood was coming that way so he went to rescue her. She was safe as he bought her back to the library. In the library a freind of Sam's told him that he should call his parents to tell them that you are okay. So he ran down to the basement to call. He told his parents that he is safe and that he would be waiting for them to come and take him. Very soon he drowned due to the water pressure but swam over to the other side of the basement. After a few cold days of raining and then snowing, a beggar and his dog went out when the dog barked to call people the beggar said that no one would come but people came many of them came, after seeing that sight the beggar ran to the policeman to tell him what he saw. the policemansaid that everyone shall get out of here and move to the south of the earth. Sam tried to make them understand that his father will come and take them to the south of the Earth and that if they go outside they shall freeze to death. No one listened to him and left though a few stayed back with Sam and his freinds. Sam went to a room and started putting books in the fireplace when an old man asked what are you doing and Sam said that he is going to burn books a woman says you cant burn books but Sam said if he dosent burn books we all would freeze to death and told a few people to go and get many more books. They had food, loads of books to burn for heat and light. After some time Sam's freind tells him that his father will not come but Sam said that he will. On the way to New York Sam's father's car crashes into a rock but from there they walk. They have many hardships and even loose a bestfreind. At Sam's side, a small incident happens after a few days where the girl falls sick and Sam and his freinds have to take a big risk by going outside and on to the ship. They have a very adventurous time because there are 5 wolves who come into the ship and try to kill the people. after some time they are free and run back to the library as everything starts to freeze. Everyrthing freezes. After a few days Sam's father reaches New York and then to the library. They look high and low when atlast they come to a door. When he opens the door there are people alive overthere Sam and his freinds were asleep. Very soon the Mexico and U.S people come to know that there is a group of people alive in New York s they start helicopters to start search for people who are alive.The end is nice and sweet.
